Daryl
Tuffey made his international debut in the final National Bank
Series Test of last summer against Australia. He bowled 20 overs
in the match without taking a wicket. His selection was reward for
a solid Shell Cup with 14 wickets at 21.57 and similar statistics
in the Shell Trophy with 17 wickets at 22.52. He was taken on the
lengthy tour of Zimbabwe and South Africa and performed with
merit, settling into the international arena. Tuffey was earmarked
early in his career and has attended the New Zealand Cricket
Academy.
