Indies will forget the debut of Mathew Sinclair. Batting at No 3
the 24-year-old gave a textbook performance, setting a new
standard for newcomers with his innings of 214 runs. Sinclair's
score equalled the highest total by a No 3 player on debut. He
enters the record books as one of only eight Kiwi batsmen to have
cracked the magical double century. He has now played ten Tests
and averages 40.50
