-Jet Li is in talks to join the cast of 'The Mummy 3' for Universal Pictures. He's set to play the villainous title character in the film directed by Rob Cohen. No plot details are yet known, but it is known that the action is set in China, with Li's story beginning in ancient times before moving to a post-World War II setting.

-Action director Michael Bay is attached to next direct, after 'Transformers', the sci-fi project '2012' based on best-selling author Whitley Strieber's upcoming novel of the same name. The story follows an academic researcher who opens a portal into a parallel universe and makes contact with his double in order to stop an apocalypse foreseen by the ancient Mayans.

-Dennis Hopper is in final talks to star in the suspense thriller, 'Dolan's Cadillac'. The film is based on one of Stephen King's suspenseful short stories. Hopper will play James Dolan, a ruthless mob boss. The revenge tale is about a school science teacher Tom Robinson whose wife is murdered by the mob boss after she witnesses an execution in the desert. Faced with resistance from law enforcement, Tom sets out to avenge his wife's death on his own. Production is scheduled to begin in April.

-After finding the bathroom occupied, Mulder relieves himself in a back alley on a movie poster for Independence Day. A line in Independence Day is 'Yeah, I love X-Files too. I hardly get to see it.'

-The final desert scene takes place in Tatouine, which is an actual place, which was used for filming the scenes on the Planet Tatooine in Star Wars and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.

-In the chronology of the T.V series, the movie takes place between the fifth season finale, episode 'The End' (with the CSM torching Mulder's office) and the sixth season premiere episode 'The Beginning' (which deals with the breed of aliens in the movie).

-When George is running with the horses at Ursula's party, the woman that makes a comment about finding a man like that is actually Brendan Fraser's wife, Afton Smith. So she did find a man like that.

-The ground in the jungle was made out of mashed potatoes.

 
Movies to watch out in April
The Reaping

In 'The Reaping', Hilary Swank plays a former Christian missionary who's lost her faith after her family was tragically killed, and has since become a world-renowned expert in disproving religious phenomena. But when she investigates a small Louisiana town that is suffering from what appear to be the Biblical plagues, she realises that science cannot explain what is happening and she must regain her faith to combat the dark forces threatening the community.

The Nanny Diaries

Based on Nicola Kraus and Emma McLaughlin's novel, the film stars Scarlett Johansson as a college student from New Jersey who becomes a nanny for a rich New York family. Living in their home, she has to juggle their dysfunction, her studies and the spoiled brat in her charge.
