"I'm listening to Munshi Raziuddin and Farid Ayaz. I'm listening to all their qawwalis."

Farid Ayaz is a Pakistani qawwal best known for his renditions of the qawwalis of Amir Khusro. The late and great Munshi Raziuddin was his father.

"For the past month, all I have heard is desi music because two of my really close friends are getting married. I've been listening to all old desi music - the Madhuri Dixit dance numbers like 'Aik Do Teen', 'Mera Piya Ghar Aaya' and 'Aaja Nachle' and 'Hawa Hawa'."

'Hawa Hawa' by Hasan Jahangir is an iconic '80s pop song that recently made it to a Bollywood soundtrack. 'Aik Do Teen' is one of Madhuri Dixit's most memorable dance numbers and is still extremely popular despite having released decades ago!

Aamir Zaki
Musician

"I listen to a lot of music and it's mostly the same stuff. I'm into Pink Floyd - all their albums are amazing. I keep listening to all kinds of music. I don't know much about the new music out these days because I don't follow television at all. I saw a few Coke Studio songs and all of them were great. That show is very impressive - I like Saeen Zahoor's Coke Studio tune."

Pink Floyd is a favourite in almost every musician's playlist and have influenced the sound of several bands, most notably Vital Signs. Songs from the second season of Coke Studio have gained immense popularity and are being widely circulated on the Internet, with Saeen Zahoor's work in the project being quite popular.
