We love that everything from our childhood is cool again because we never really threw out our Lisa Frank stickers or our New Kids on The Block t-shirts. The world is a happier place and we can share the love of the 80's with our kids. Comic books may be getting made into movies but that's for the guys not that the girls are complaining about seeing Thor, Iron Man and Captain America in one convenient place.

Moving on, Exhibit A) My Little Pony. We're not going into the whole hipster boy love of our favourite cartoon, what really brought this back for the 80's girl was Karl Lagerfeld's stamp of approval. The head of Chanel has been immortalized (not that he needs to be, I mean how long has this guy been around?) as a sunglass-donning, pristine white collared figurine, aptly named, My Little Karl.

When we moved out of the My Little Pony phase we moved onto Sweet Valley High books. The Sweet Valley Confidential series is now being made into a TV show which follows the characters after a lapse of ten years. See how Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield, Todd Wilkins, Bruce Patman and the rest of the gang have all grown up. It will be kind of like watching Beverly Hills 90210 meets Gossip Girl but they kind of have lived like the Sex and the City girls. You get the idea!

After a summer of reading Sweet Valley the only thing that made the new school year bearable was our dearest friend, Lisa Frank. Purple dolphins, neon cheetah cubs and psychedelic palm trees and floating lips adorning sheets of paper, stickers and pencils was what Lisa Frank was all about. No one really ever outgrows their Lisa Frank stationery. That's why Lisa Frank has been wanting to break into the latest trend of reality competition TV shows like Project Runway. Lisa Frank has realized that while business is still booming for her stationery company she needs to move into the new age of television. We hope this happens so we can watch while wearing our Lisa Frank sweatshirts, cradling our My Little Karl.
