Don't let the gloomy monsoon get you down, bring a little sunshine back in your days with vibrant yellow. Paired with nudes, white or (if you're feeling really adventurous) more yellow. The trendy colour is fun and chic, so do it right with a bold shade of marigold and embrace the neon version for evenings. It's all about the colour so keep your cuts classic and prints minimal.

Chloe Moretz knows how to keep her yellows young and fresh. Sporty styling (just take a look a look at those sleek nude heels) and a slick of aqua blue eyeliner prove it really is all in the details.

Lace is one of the most romantic and girly touches a woman can add to her outfit. It used to be only for brides, formal attire or simply used as a trim but the lace trend is so big this year that you can not have a red carpet event without seeing at least one starlet in head-to-toe lace.

Kept in a sleek silhouette in one of the season's favourite shocking hues, lace is a to-die-for look. We love lace's scalloped edges on the hem or neckline adding another level of detail showcasing its pattern. Lace has even carried over to accessories and lace peep-toes are another must for this season.

Duchess Catherine of Cambridge looked like a dream at the Queen's Jubilee ceremony in a blush lace dress from Alexander McQueen, naturally. We say if this trend is good enough for a princess then who are we to argue?

Hollywood loves lace

Kirsten Wiig combines fun and sex appeal in a Stella McCartney lace jumpsuit.

Elle Fanning wears a beautifully intricate lace motif dress by Louis Vuitton.

Jessica Biel wore a full lace skirt by Oscar De La Renta in taupe.

Rachel McAdams in Collette Dinningan reminds us of the glamorous fifties silouhette with its long hem and soft shoulders. Beautiful!
