Hotsteppers of the week The Peerzadas

Art and cultural activities has seen a long, arid period within the country. The interest has always been alive and well, the resistance only stemming from superficial social taboos. The Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop has braved it, believing in the necessity of the expression of art in all its forms for a healthy society to flourish in spirit and in mind.
Their focused work over the past three decades has kept on resurrecting it against all odds.

The World Performing Arts Festival which has been put up by the Rafi Peer over the past few years, attempts to bridge geographical distances and introduces one culture to another in a burst of colourful entertainment.

The World Performing Arts Festival is the largest-ever international cultural event to be ever held in Pakistan. Through these festivals, over the years, the Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop has carved a niche for Pakistan on the cultural world map.
By no means is the alignment and coordination of foreign performers an easy feat. And for this reason, and this reason alone, the entire team behind the Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop deserves a pat on the back.

They are this week's hotsteppers because of their utter dedication to keeping alive art and culture in Pakistan, and in addition, bringing foreign art and entertainment right to our doorstep!
