Here we go again!
Winter is that time of the year when our appetites for fashion get bigger. In the West it comes with a fetish for fur, animal skin, leather and all those exotic fabrics that cannot be put to use in warm months. In Pakistan, though the fur culture may not have arrived, winter fashion certainly has and it's always something to look forward to after a prolonged relationship with lawns!
This winter is all about looking for deals that can give you 'big' fashion moments. Shawls and wraps are easily replaced by big coats and jackets, especially for the trouser wearing generation. Thanks to brands like Crossraods, a trip abroad is no longer necessary for to purchase a good coat. Feeha Jamshed (Teejay's daughter) is also introducing coats to the new collection. And other prêt designers like Maheen Khan always have something warm in stock. There is big variety out there; you just need to explore the options.

Other than
your coats, another trend to go big on this season is accessories which includes bags and jewelry. Here, easily apply 'the bigger the better' rule. For bags check out Mahin Hussain's new collection, which plays with size, colour and even motifs. Accessories can also get out of control without you seeming out of control. Stack big bangles on your arms and if you've got the guts, string them on a cord and wear them around your neck as a bolder statement. Gold, silver, crystal and even glass or plastic, the more visible your accessories are, the more stylish you will appear to be.

And lastly, it is time to bid farewell to your skinny jeans (momentarily) as lowers just got big and baggy with the comeback of the harem pant. This is one of fashion's must haves that each and every girl should have in her closet. They carry well through the day and even better at night when they can easily be glammed up. So let there be no doubt about it… this winter the best things certainly do not come in small packages!
