|
Veteran
rock band, Rolling Stones, have once again topped the "rich list"
for the second time. According to Forbes magazine, Rolling Stones
made a whopping 150.6 million dollars in the year 2006. Like most
bands, they accomplished this after the release of their album, A
Bigger Bang. It was said that even though Rolling Stones do not sell
as many discs as they used to but they still have no problem luring
fans to live performances. Other moneymakers of 2006 include country
music duo Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, whose estimated worth for 2006
is 132 million dollars and the Queen of pop, Madonna, who was fourth
on Forbes's list, who made 96.8 million dollars through her "Confessions"
tour. Bon Jovi, Nickelback, Dave Matthews Band, Barbra Streisand and
Celine Dion also made it to the top ten list. |

Since
his accquital, Michael Jackson has been living in other places.
He moved to Bahrain, France and later, Ireland. But now, after a
year and a half away, Michael has reportedly returned to his country.
In a rare interview, it was revealed that MJ is back and is planning
a number of "fan appreciation events" in Japan, later
this year. In a statement released by MJ, he said, "I love
Japan. It is one of my favourite places in the entire world. My
friends and fans in Japan have been so supportive of me and my family
for many, many years." It was heard before that Michael would
perform live at the World Music Awards. Fans had flocked to the
venue only to find out that there was no 'Thriller' performance
planned and Michael was booed off stage. One seriously hopes that
the same does not happen at the MJ concert, scheduled to be held
in Tokyo..
