Imran and Jemima Khan

Even
when the world cast criticism on Pakistan's King Khan for marrying
a foreigner, we thought he looked perfect with Jemima Goldsmith. And
even when they broke apart, there was always a notion that no man
in Jemima's life could be a patch on Imran Khan and perhaps even vice
versa.
Imran and Jemima look good together, there's no doubt about that and
that was proven right again when they were seen protesting outside
10 Downing Street, during President Musharraf's visit to London. There
stood President Musharraf and his wife Sehba, PM Gordon Brown and
his wife, Sara and then beyond the pickets stood Imran Khan and his
ex-wife Jemima.
It was a sight for sore paparazzi eyes! There really is something
enigmatic about Imran and Jemima's relationship, the way neither of
them has ever spoken about their private lives. Since their divorce
in 2004, they have remained on friendly terms. As well as being united
by their two sons Sulaiman, 11 and eight-year-old Kasim, they surprisingly
share a strong interest in Pakistan's politics.

| Jemima
has been dropping comments (and articles) on the political scene for
quite some time now. Last November she loyally spoke out in support
of her politician ex-husband when he was placed under house arrest.
She has also written about Fatima Bhutto being a better choice for
PPP leadership. It would have been great had she stuck around! To
hope that Imran and Jemima will get back together is a long shot,
but till then, one will take great joy in making the most of situations
like this one. |
