| At
a time when absolutely all entertainment has been crippled in the
country, the only thing providing respite is television and when you
switch music channels on, there are two videos that shine out like
beacons. Jal's 'Sajni' and Atif Aslam's 'Hungami Halaat' are exceptionally
shot videos and the person responsible for this creative train of
thought is Bilal Lashari. Bilal is still studying at the Academy of
Art University in San Francisco but the four videos he has directed
– Abrar's 'Islamabad', Overload's 'Dhamaal', Jal's 'Sajni' and
Atif's 'Hungami Halaat' have made people tout him as the next Saqib
Malik. He worked on these videos during his vacations in Pakistan
and they have left us eager for more upon his return. |
