Flash FASHION UPDATE
Read between the lines

From
polka dots, the latest trends in fashion focus on stripes. There's
something very dangerously similar about stripes and jail uniforms
but if worn correctly, they are everything stylish.
Stripes are as well suited to men as they are to women. There's something
very French about stripes; and inevitably something fashionable about
everything French. Call it memories of sailors in nautical stripes,
there's something very chic about the print. Classic are black and
white stripes; bold for the bold and narrow for the petite. These
have been endorsed by Chanel and Gwen Stefani's label LAMB at New
York Fashion Week. The third most popular colour to incorporate between
the lines is red. If you're young and have a zing for colour, then
adapt candy stripes in your wardrobe too. But instead of clothes,
they look best on accessories, especially scarves and mufflers. If
you're not one for scarves, then bring them on to your dupatta.
The good thing is, you can't go wrong with stripes. If worse comes
to worse, you'll look like one of the escaped convicts!
