He's
the man who brought us Blackfish, the improvisational comedy
troupe that became a weekend must, and he stars on television
show The Real News, which cracks us up every week. Saad Haroon
is one of the funniest people on Karachi's entertainment landscape
and he's set to make us forget our troubles in these times.
Saad has just made his foray back into improvisational comedy
with his new troupe Shark, which recently toured Karachi and
Lahore.
Saad auditioned and trained the members of Shark, and it is
great to see young people join together to entertain our beleaguered
souls. Even as events are often shoved under the carpet or kept
very low key, Shark announced their launch and tour with a bang.
And even though the new troupe has its share of hiccups at performances,
we can see them going a long way.
These are great comic minds in the making, and Saad is to credit
for that. For keeping us in fits of laughter, Saad Haroon is
Instep's hotstepper of the week.
