The
VIBE
'Masjid-o-Mandir'
by the band Hijr
Anita
Saleem: Recently, I spotted a video 'Masjid-o-Mandir' by
Hijr on music channels. The music is very soothing,
considering the hard-rock trend that reigns in our
country. If you prefer glitz, then this video is certainly
not for you. But if you appreciate good music and
congruency of theme in the song and video then this video
is a must watch for you. It shows the band members walking
around different places (streets, food stalls,
marketplace, temple, mosque) among the common people. It
focuses on a culture that does truly prevail in the
country, but which we rarely get to see on TV.
Way to go, Hijr!
