The
Vibe
'Humsafar'
by the Strings
Osama
Jafry: 'Humsafar' is the latest song from the new
strings album 'Koi Aanay Wala Hai'
to have hit the local music channels recently. Directed
by the immaculate Jami and shot in the streets of
Moscow, this video was highly anticipated, especially
after the success of their title song's video. As far as
the video goes, it has been shot in a good manner, a tad
more different from other videos. At first glance, it
gives a very 'western' impression and until one hears
Faisal's vocals, one doesn't realise that it's a
Pakistani video. However, my first impression on seeing
the video was that it was inspired by a Nickelback
video. Anyhow, that's happening far and wide in
Pakistan. :)
The
sound of the song, I believe, is trademark Strings with
a sprinkling of some experimentation. Personally, I just
loved the song and have really gotten hooked to it. So
in short, 'Humsafar' is a lovely track and I'd have to
say that its video fittingly complements its sound. Well
done Jami and Strings!
