Dear
Editor
You
better do something!
Hey Ed!
Well,
Us is switching itself like the hours of load-shedding.
Sometimes it becomes boring and sometimes interesting,
but I must say that except for the cover stories,
other things are fine. You must realise that the cover
story is the first thing one sees and that first
impression is the last impression. So, you better
do something about it and improve the quality of cover
stories printed in the mag.
Other
than that, please print the posters of Jal band, Kaka of
AC Milan and Ronaldinho of Barcelona FC. Hope to
see some improvements soon.

question that has been asked 93649 times!
Hey
Ed!
It's a
pleasure writing to you. I have been a regular
reader of your magazine for about four years. I get
up early every Friday and cannot do anything until
I get the copy of your mag. Hats off to you people for
doing such a great job. I love your mag and am really
grateful to you people for giving us such a great source
of information and entertainment under one cover.
Secondly,
I wanted to ask the criteria for your cover story. What
do I need to do, the word count for the cover story and
where to send it.
Komal
Mehmood
Take
any issue of Us. Go to page 8 and start counting the
words. When you'll finish counting, you'll have the word
count for the cover story. Girl! We know it sounds rude,
but we've mentioned the same thing soooooo many times on
these pages. The word count is 1600-2000 words and of
course you send it to the same email id on which you
sent this letter!
The
beautiful garden called Us!
Hello
Eddy,
This
is my first mail to any mag so far. I have been reading
Us for the past 5-6 years. Sometimes I really wanted to
share my views with you people, but I never had the
courage to do so. But it's enough now. I know these
sorts of comments and praising would be a routine
matter for you, but honestly speaking, you people
are doing a hell lot of a job; I really appreciate
your efforts .Now coming to the issue of May 23, 2008,
it was very interesting. What Arees came up with
this time was a real treat for me. I myself had seen all
the sequels of Indiana Jones and it was very interesting to
know about the facts of the movies. The 'Graffiti'
section was cool as usual and the story by Faryal was
a good piece to read. On the whole the mag was superb.
Please Eddy, never ever remove a single section of your
mag because every part has its own charm and every
reader has its own interest. All these sections are the
blooming flowers and they all combine to give a
beautiful garden called 'Us'. Wish you all the
best. Stay cool and keep rocking.

Please
print…
Hi Ed!
Your
magazine rocks! I'm its regular reader and I love the
posters, the 'Poets' Corner', the information part and
also the problems section. There's one request: please
print the poster of Jesse Mccartney, Drake Bell and
Avril Lavigne.

Don't
disappoint me!
AoA,
The
issue of May 23, 2008 had everything a reader could wish
for. A brilliant story, 'Graffiti' page that made me
laugh my head off and a nice cover story. Can I send
something for the humour section? Can it be of three
pages? If not, then what should be the word count as I
am a regular reader of Us and I might become a regular
writer, too. So please don't disappoint me and do print
the poster of Olsen twins. Keep rocking

Us
misleading the youth!
Ed,
No
praise, but only criticism! I have sent you almost a
million articles and I haven't seen any (in print)! And
are you a Pakistani magazine! An Islamic country's
magazine! How come I don't see any?! (what?) Why do you
unintentionally mislead the youth into following the
western ways? The only Islamic section is the
'reflections' and even the column for content is larger
than that.
On a
lighter note, at least you're better than the other
weekly magazine which is for toddlers.

How
true!
Ed,
Salaam,
I have
been reading your mag for quite some time but I am
really sorry to say that the quality of your mag is on
constant decline. There are no articles related to
the issues of teens and other informative stuff which
used to be a major part of your mag. Tell me one thing:
Is Us a mag about movie and music reviews? Well, that's
what the major portion of your mag is composed of. And
'Trust Us' and 'In Your Aangan' is another shame! I
mean, why should we read over and again about child
abuses and all the related stuff? Hope you will think
about it and will improve the quality of material in
your magazine.
Aizaz
Akhtar
You
are so right, Aizaz! Why on earth should we read stuff
about child abuse again and again?!
A
suggestion
AoA
Ed,
Thank
you for publishing my first letter (it's not
buttering, remember)! I have some suggestions for Us.
Some readers want the 'Art Page' instead of Comic
Relief', so Us should publish 'Comic Relief' page one
week and the next week there should be the 'Art Corner'.
In this way all the readers will be happy. And the other
suggestion is that there should be a vocabulary page.
The cover story on Indiana Jones (May 23, 2008) was
informative and worth reading.

Another
angry reader!
Dear
Editor,
I
think I don't need to tell you that your mag is going
fantastic; of course it is! That's why I'm writing to
you. Coming straight to the point, I have a big
complaint! Why don't you guys publish letters and
contributions of people from smaller cities like Dera
Ismail Khan? Your mag is full of letters, stories and
poems of people from Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi.
Don't we have equal rights, too? I mean when we equally
love Us, then why don't you allow us some space, too? I
have sent many letters and poems to your mag, but I
think your dustbin likes them more. Now, our beautiful
city has sent a deputy speaker for the National
Assembly, so please think, Eddy.

Think
what, Ihsan?
Amazing
facts?
Hi Ed,
I have
been a reader of this fabulous mag for over six years
and in my first mail I have just one thing to say:
Us is the best. I have always admired the writers who
put their heart into 'Us' and in turn take the readers'
hearts away. That's the very reason I never cared about
the paper quality, not even of the poster page. And to
those who do care, I would advise them to look at the
quality of writing, not that of the paper. As for the
'Greetings' page I say that it should be continued. In
the end, I have a humble request: Ed, for God's sake,
stop printing comics and start a page about amazing
facts. If you and the readers agree I am ready to
contribute the first material for that. Keep up the good
work.
