Hotstepper of the Week
Kiran
|
| |
She
designs absolutely stunning contemporary jewelry and its evident she
puts her soul into each and every piece she creates. She's a single
parent and yet she toils after her labours of love: Kiran designs
the pieces herself and then sources them from world markets in London
and Dubai. That's a lot but that's not all.
Last year, Kiran unveiled her first collection at the Citigold Lux
Style Awards held in Malaysia and she observed that each piece she
conceived was selected by the very person whom she had thought it
would suit best. She describes her jewelry in four states: Encaptured,
Wired, Echoed and Encircled and amazingly every individual who picked
up a piece to wear, reflected the inner emotion that the jewelry did.
That observation motivated Kiran to explore these women a little deeper
and her interest led her from one thing to another.

Kiran's
latest achievement catapults her to Hotstepper status because she
has painstakingly put together a portrait of fashion's force of fourteen
women who are beautiful, strong and each a winner in their own right.
Her book Revived is the first of its kind in Pakistan and is sure
to grace coffee tables in the years to come. As was said in a tribute
at the launch, Kiran has written about fourteen significant women,
and she herself is the fifteenth.
