Trait & Fate

What does your handwriting reveal?

Did you read the cover story? If you did, here is your chance to know more about yourself through your handwritings. All you have to do is send a scanned sample of your writing to handwriting.us@gmail.com.

Dear readers,

I was trained as a Psychologist from University of Karachi and have completed my M.A. in Clinical Psychology in December 2009.

My interest in handwriting analysis began while researching the dynamics of human behaviour, inspired by the work of Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud, and the processes of the unconscious mind, when I was studying for my Honours degree at Saint Joseph's College, Karachi. I was inspired by the work of the French monk Abbe Hypolite Michon and his compatriot Jules Crepieux-Jamin and the German philosopher Ludwig Klages who presented his advanced theory that handwriting is a unique self-expressive phenomenon. The Swiss graphologist Max Pulver investigating the depth in handwriting further broadened my horizons.

Six years down the road and I have analysed about 700 handwriting samples which include college, university- teachers/professors, friends, friends of friends. My approach is to pave the way for people towards a path of self-discovery making them understand themselves better, enabling them to make the right career choices by working on their strengths. I am especially interested in the therapeutic potential for graphology termed as graphotherapy which focuses on making small changes in our handwriting, we can positively alter unconscious patterns of thinking and behaviour.

As Buddha said: All that we are is the result of what we have thought.

So be sure to think positive! Have a nice week!
