Narrated Abu Musa (R.A):

Some people asked Allah's Apostle (PBUH), "Whose Islam is the best? i.e. (Who is a very good Muslim)?" He replied, "One who avoids harming the Muslims with his tongue and hands."

Moderation is the key

Hi Ed,

Every coin has two sides and I want to draw the attention of the readers to the positive side of the online computer games. People say that computer games are bad for eye sight, and should be avoided. When I started driving, I realised that a slight twist of steering wheel results in quite a big turn of tyres. This proportion of twist and turn and much more that goes with it when behind the steering wheel can easily be dealt with if practiced on real cars, or practised by playing online games, latter being much safer.

Online games dealing with safe driving and roads, can educate our drivers in following traffic rules and not falling prey to the mistakes of others. Moderation is the key. One hour of computer use daily does not have any reported side effects, and there are benefits like improvement in hand eye coordination, synchronisation such as resistance to distraction, sensitivity to peripheral vision and sharpening of reflexes. It is also a useful way of keeping children busy at home, especially with the way things are in most big cities nowadays!

Loads of appreciation for Us

Hey, Ed!

The last issue was just fantastic. The cover story about graphology was truly amazing, and the 'Chachi Chatters' was good as usual, but the best of all was the final instalment of the story. I hated what happened to Sasha, because she didn't deserve to die so soon. All in all, a giant thumbs up for Faiqah Mumtaz for the best story I've ever read in Us!!

The artwork was a good attempt, but Max is a lot more fun-looking than shown in the sketch. And, since the 'anime sketch fever' is on these days, I request the young anime artists out there to please send in a cool sketch of Sasuke from the anime 'Naruto', and Hinata too, though she's a little difficult to draw.

Us is doing a terrific and fabulous job, Ed. Hats off to your team!

AoA Ed,

Us has been going too good for the last couple of weeks. Phew! I was seriously surprised not to see any letter in the appreciation of the writer of 'The Pessimist' (February 19). I have especially written to appreciate the writer. Exactly the same stuff was in my mind, but I was never able to pen it down. Also sometime back there was this poem 'Modern Extremism' in the 'Poets' Corner'. It was good, too! So guys, keep up the good work!

Aman ki Asha

Salam Eddy!

The article, 'Four Leg Pieces' was really thought provoking. I pray to Allah for peace in our country and for that I think 'Aman ki Asha' can be a great platform to solve the conflicts between the two countries. Though it would be very difficult to forget our neighbour's biased behaviour towards the Pakistani cricket team at the Indian Premier League auction, but peace lies in it.

I just love the 'Reflection' segment of your magazine; don't ever discontinue it. The joke "Lucky saucer" in the 'Graffiti' section (March 5) was a bit old, but the rest was good. 'To be continued…' in the story section has always been painful to me. The cover story "The Enduring Swords" was very different, yet interesting. Keep up the good work!

Not fair!

Hey Ed,

Come on! It's really not fair. I have been a regular reader for almost a year now of this fantastic magazine with especial indication of 'Celebs birthday' in 'The Green Room' section and how unlucky of me that this year my birthday fell on Saturday, March 13 :(. And the saddest part? Us will not tell ME which celebrities were born on that day. Ed, do you want me to wait till 2015 to find out who all are celebrating their birthdays on 13th March? Now either give a small space for 13th March birthday celebs or I request Us' senior readers to send me the Us' issue of 13th March, 2009.

On with Japanese!

Hey Ed,

Staachi Buri Ka Ed (it means long time no see in Japanese). The issue of March 5 was awesome. I was stunned when I saw the title page. Oh my God! I am such a huge fan of swords that I can't explain it in words. It is more than an obsession which also freaks people out ;). The writer did a great job! It was, as Barney Stinson would say, LEGENDARY! An article like this has been printed after a long time. The "Four leg pieces" was very, very good. Some people would say that it was too dark, but I loved the rawness and deep emotion that the writer conveyed. Ed, please resume the poster page, and it would be nice if you print "Anime" posters. I want some more for my room!

P.S. I know you'll probably hate me for asking this but could you please tell me the word limit for a cover story as I want send you one. Sayonra, Ed (Goodbye in Jap) :D

Shahnawaz Rasheed

Word limit is1600 –1800 words!
