From the Editor

Dear all,

Back in the Stone Ages, children used to be taught ethics by their parents. Simple things, you know, like not lying, stealing or cheating… Things are sadly not the same. Those who cheat and get away feel on top of the world. What they should remember is that truth has a habit of catching up with such people. We are not naming any names, but simply advise the readers to read the letters section. We abhor plagiarism, and we are sure most of our writers do the same!

Since we started on a grim note, it's time to talk about fun stuff. Most of us have read Ian Fleming's novels and more than most of us have seen the Bond flicks. Well, Bond is back with a bang in Quantum of Solace. This week's cover story, by the way we found it very interesting, is dedicated to the ultimate spy – Bond. James Bond.

A very thought provoking article 'When you fail…' by Ayesha Ahmed features in the 'Think Pad' section. Syed Jawad Ali Shah, a law student from Ayub Law College has written an article in the 'Experience' section. Poor chap has a problem; every time his article appears in print, his namesake claims it as his own to show off his writing prowess. Shame, namesake! What an impostor you are!

Regular's Alert! We have a touching story by Saad Javed. Not only that, there's also a poem by him in the 'Poets' Corner'. Guys, read both the things and then crib about Us giving space to our 'regulars'!

Happy reading!

Till next week,

Bye!

Narrated Ibn 'Umar (RA):

A man asked, "O Allah's Apostle (PBUH), what kind of clothes should a Muhrim wear?" The Prophet (PBUH) said, "A Muhrim should not wear a shirt, trousers a hooded cloak, or Khuffs (leather socks covering the ankles) unless he cannot get sandals, in which case he should cut the part (of the Khuff) that covers the ankles.

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 72, Number 686
