- For Your Entertainment by Adam Lambert: The AI8 runner-up's debut album; includes the 2012 song Time for Miracles, and also features writing contributions by Lady GaGa, Ryan Tedder, Justin Hawkins, P!nk, and Kara DioGuardi.

- I Dreamed a Dream by Susan Boyle: A covers album by the BGT3 runner-up; includes The Rolling Stones' Wild Horses, Madonna's You'll See, and I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables, along with two original compositions.

- Rated R by Rihanna: Fourth release by the pop/R&B star; hosts collaborations with Young Jeezy (Hard), Slash (Rockstar 101), will.i.am (Photographs), and first single Russian Roulette which was co-written by Ne-Yo.

- Movies

- The Blind Side (starring Sandra Bullock, Quinton Aaron, Tim McGraw, Kathy Bates) – drama; based on the story of Michael Oher, a homeless teenager who became an All-American offensive left tackle through hard work and with the help of his adopted family.

- The Twilight Saga: New Moon (starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner) – fantasy; after the Cullens leave town, Bella (Stewart) turns to childhood friend Jacob (Lautner) to fill the void, as new dangers lurk.

- Old Dogs (starring John Travolta, Robin Williams, Bernie Mac) – comedy; left to take care of 7-year-old twins, two friends (Travolta and Williams) learn the importance of family. This is Bernie Mac's last film.

- Also released this week: animated film Planet 51 (starring Dwayne Johnson, Jessica Biel, Justin Long, Seann William Scott, Gary Oldman, John Cleese), crime drama Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (starring Nicolas Cage, Val Kilmer, Eva Mendes, Xzibit), period-drama Me and Orson Welles (starring Zac Efron, Christian McKay, Claire Danes, Ben Chaplin), and adventure thriller The Road (starring Viggo Mortensen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Charlize Theron, Robert Duvall, Guy Pearce)

Hira Sohail: Shoaib Farrukh is an upcoming singer and an established music producer associated with Magic Notes music studio, owned by his father Mr. Farrukh Abid, who also happens to be one of the A-class commercial music producers in Pakistan. Shoaib has been involved in music production since the tender age of 8. He decided to step into the limelight by launching his pop career as a solo artist, hitting the mainstream with his Mother's Day special Meri Maa. With twinkling eyes and a winning smile, Shoaib has become a familiar face already. His debut album is in the pipeline and soon all music lovers will have something worthwhile to listen to. Cast: John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Woody Harrelson

- Follows the story of a group of survivors struggling as the world comes to an end; based on the idea that cataclysmic events will occur in the year 2012.

- Had a production budget of $200 million.

- Marks the third time John Cusack and Amanda Peet are working together; they have previously appeared in Identity (2003) and Martian Child (2007).

- The US President in the film has the same first and last names as the real 28th US President, Thomas Woodrow Wilson.

- A television series based on the film is in the works.
