FASHION UPDATE
Challenge your grey matter
|
| |
| The
hottest colour this autumn is going to be grey but all those who love
to dive into colour need not worry. Grey may be in but so are exciting
ways to glamorize it. It needn't be boring. The key to grey dressing
is experimentation and the first step is to mix fabrics fearlessly.
Chiffon works well with satin silk or even velvet. Something as simple
as a velvet trimming can add a third dimension to your shirt. Blow
on the silver sequins and swarovskis if you're partying and if you're
a grunge dresser, then metal studs and zips will give you the punch
you're looking for. Combine different grey tones or add a flash of
patent (even leather) to energize your look. As winter sets in, cashmere
shawls can also be bought in shades of anthracite instead of the customary
beige and ecrus and those of you who go straight for the woollies
will find the softest shades of dove grey desirable. Accessories are
also taking on the tint of granite and pewter so replace everything
gold with everything silver and metallic. Animal skin bags and shoes
are going grey too and picking up a pair of those pewter stilettos
will become essential. |
