a sneak peak!
20-year-old Sophie (Seyfried)
is preparing to marry her boyfriend Sky (Cooper) at her
mother's hotel on an island in Greece. She seemingly has it all -- a carefree
life, a loving fiancé, and happy friends -- but one thing has been missing
all her life; a father.
Her only wish now is to be
given away by her dad at her wedding. By reading her mother's diary she
discovers that she has three possible-fathers. Sophie then secretly invites
all three men to the wedding in a desperate bid to discover which of them her
father is before the wedding bells start to chime!
But not all goes according
to plan. Old loves are rekindled, new loves are formed, and Sophie risks
everything to discover the true identity of her father.
Featuring the songs of
ABBA, and based on the world's number one musical comedy which has people
dancing in the aisles every night, this movie is sure to be the hit of Summer
2008!
Guys, we asked you why
people are more interested in watching Singh Is Kinng and not
Ramchand Pakistani... Here are some of the replies that we received.
Muhammad Asif Nawaz: The
basic reason for people preferring Singh Is Kinng over Ramchand Pakistani is
the meager promotion of the latter. The promotional campaign, besides being
scarce, was also uninspiring. From the trailers, the film looked sick,
depressing and too dramatic, and thus failed to attract the masses. The same
channel gave matchless promotion to Khuda Kay Liye previously, but in case of
RP, one wonders what went wrong.
Unsa Athar: People are
watching Singh is Kinng instead of Ramchand Pakistani for several
reasons. Firstly, there was only one channel that promoted RP,
so it failed to get much attention. While Singh is Kinng was constantly
promoted on all the Indian Channels and since Indian channels are watched
more in our country, more people went for it. Lastly, films like Gujjar
Badmash etc. have spoiled the reputation of Pakistani films. Therefore, it is
a saddening fact that people stay away from the cinemas even if good films
are made.
Christian Bale –
Discovering the Batman!
The recent favourite of the
people all around the world and the current super hit movie, The Dark Knight
has the previous Batman, Christian Bale, as the lead.
He has been so comfortable doing the role that people have started
taking him as synonymous to Batman!
Bale made his professional
debut opposite British comedian Rowan Atkinson on the London West End stage
and since then there has been no looking back for him. The 10th Anniversary
issue of 'Entertainment Weekly' crowned Christian Bale as one of the 'Top 8
Most Powerful Cult Figures' of the past decade, citing his incredible and
legendary cult status on the Internet. EW also calls Bale one of the 'Most
Creative People in Entertainment' after his brilliant turn as the
psychopathic yuppie serial killer in American Psycho (2000). And 'Premiere'
lauded him as one of the 'Hottest Leading Men under 30'. Christian Bale has
garnered a huge international audience since his brilliant performance in
Steven Spielberg's WWII epic, Empire of the Sun (1987).
Some interesting facts
related to Bale are:
* He is an excellent
horseman and an avid reader.
* He has an uncanny ear for
accents - he has used a different accent for each of his films to-date.
* A devoted animal lover,
Christian has two dogs (Mojo and Ramone) and three cats (Miriam, Molly, and
Lilly). All his pets are strays that he found.
* His first on-screen role
was in 1983 at age nine in a British commercial for 'Pac-Man' cereal.
* Two of his most famous
characters' names have a difference of only one letter, 'Bateman and Batman'.
* If he plays an American
character, he uses an American accent in all the interviews related to the
film. He says he does this so that the audience isn't confused.
