From the Editor

AoA folks,

Become busy with your studies, have you all? Hey, that shouldn’t let you stop writing to Us! We need your feedback, readers. But here we must clarify one thing: we cannot print the letters that have already been posted on any website! Some writers do that after their letters have been printed to share with friends how horribly their letters were butchered! What sharp (or is it blunt) scalpels we have! And that we don’t even use chloroform while we perform our operation cleanup! That is all right, but there is no point in printing the letter if it has already been read by you on-line, is there? But what has got into Us? We are using so much med lingo! It’s got to be all those docs-to-be who write for Us! Better get back to this week’s issue.

Our cover story is about, well… fashion again! But don’t take a fright, folks. This is not your usual run-of-the-mill story. How can it be when Iqra has written it?

We have so many more treats in store for you all. Books Buzz by Awais Aftab introduces some great gems by Pakistani writers. It is heartening to know that finally Pakistanis are making their presence felt in the Books Kingdom! But we still have long to go before we can afford to sleep.

Saad Javed is also there with his acne woes! Almost all of us have suffered at the hand of this annoying part of growing up! Chin up, those who are suffering now, for it will soon vanish without a trace. But those with extreme condition should take care, of course. Gaming zones - the pros and cons by Aabir Jawaid is another thought provoking write up along with Humna Bhojani’s article 'Excuse Me Boss – You have a Message’. Quite a variety, isn’t it? Happy reading!

Till next week

Allah Hafiz

Reflection

Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA):

I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for."

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 1, Number 1
