are getting back into the swing of things as school has officially
begun for most colleges and universities. As the load from textbooks
and other necessities deflates students' wallets, shopping for clothing
and accessories is on hiatus for most, at least for a little while.
Back-to-school has become its own season in the fashion world for
young students at local retail chain stores. However, students in
college seem to look more closely at the trends. A belted waist for
coats and jackets look is definitely in. However, the slim fit of
pants has been eclipsed by the wide-leg trousers in prints such as
tweed. The '80s are making a comeback with zippers on jackets and
shirts. New designers are now dissolving all matching conventions
with blue-on-black themes, and some playful additions to garments
are sequins and feathers. Animal print purses are in full swing this
fall. The zebra print is perfect for a laptop or back-to-school bag.
And finally, chains are big everywhere, either as adornments to handbags
