Hotstepper
of the week
Ali Azmat
|
| |
| Ali
Azmat remains one of the most outstanding musicians in Pakistan today.
In 2005 he surprised everyone with his debut record, Social Circus.
And now with Klashinfolk, Ali has firmly established his place as
the most interesting rocker in the country. |

Teaming
up with Omran Shafique, Kamran Zafar and John Louis Pinto (Gumby),
Ali has made Klashinfolk stand out.
More than just another rock album, it is filled with tunes that
are true to the changing sound of rock. Funky and tipsy at times,
somber and introspective at others, live, beefy and fiery to the
core, it is an album that reflects the man that is Ali Azmat.
Another hugely interesting fact about this album is that Ali Azmat
also dons the role of songwriter, lyricist and producer and he has
delivered magnificently on all three fronts.
So this week Ali Azmat is Instep's Hotstepper of the week. After
all, here is an album that is easily one of the finest in our rock
history…and we're so proud to say we have one, unlike India
who have had to compromise with Bollywood flicks like Rock On!!
