FASHION UPDATE

How to 'clutch' it right!

It's Ramazan - the month in which we fast, pray and… we shop! This is the peak time of the year in Pakistan when people shop for new clothes and accessories for Eid and it's double delight when Eid is followed by a roller coaster of weddings. Needless to say, its time to deck up! And if you have already gotten yourself a perfect Eid dress and you are looking for a purse to go with it, then it's time you should know what's hot and what's not. When it comes to dressing up, clutches are in.

While big bags still play an important role in our daily-lives, this season the clutches are in vogue for eveningwear. The choice is huge with large and small, soft and hard-cased, multi-colored and metallic. And the best part is, they are easily available at most shoe stores, which manufacture the matching pair.
For weddings and grand affairs, Swarovski encrusted clutches are well suited but if you're the arty type and like a bit of signature, then visit Mahin Hussain Accessories and check out her multi coloured leather clutches. They are fabulous!

However, most women prefer hard case metallic clutch purses for evenings. They don't carry much more than a lipstick and a cell phone so they're recommended for evenings when someone else is paying the bill. There's no way you can fit your wallet in most of them.

A metallic clutch is the easiest way to add a bit of instant glamour to an evening look. They are now very simply designed with just a buckle of diamantes or pearls.

We would advise you not to have your clutch matched to your outfit unless you are getting married. It's just not a fashion savvy thing to do - mix and match never was. And oh, if you decide to wear leopard skin in your clothes, avoid carrying another animal print on your arms. It would be too wild a look!
