The trouble with us Pakistanis is that we place too much importance on how good or bad America or Mr. Bush is to other Islamic states. Many of these states have no respect or regard for our beloved country. Even our neighbours i.e. Iran, we cannot trust to have a friendly and open relationship. I can give many examples of how our political leaders in the past had tried to induce friendship and trust in order to form a type of Islamic states body. But no one paid any attention to this.

I feel our first duty is to see how well we look after our own countrymen and ourselves. I have seen with my own eyes how indiscriminately we kill our own Pakistani Muslim brothers. We kill them in mosques. In view of such horrifying instances it is hard to imaging us showing concern for our Muslim brethren from other Islamic states. We should learn to look after our own Pakistani Muslim brothers and sisters. Once we have achieved this, the rest of the Islamic world would begin to respect us. Then only we will be honoured by them and blessed by Allah for showing our support for other nationals.

Since the birth of Pakistan, we have not been able to develop a stable country. Corruption is deep-rooted in our blood. We cannot move an inch without giving or taking a bribe. And the whole world knows us. Around the world Pakistanis are not looked at with favour in any field. Wherever Pakistanis reside, in that neighbourhood, property loses its value.

The height is even the Pakistani Consulates offices in various countries are kept in very poor and filthy conditions. Other people who come to these offices for a visa to Pakistan get the first impression as to what kind of mentality Pakistanis hold.

Let us be grown up people. Let us love and protect our own county and our people. Let us be honourable and true to ourselves. Be honest in our dealings with our countrymen. Once we have achieved that we can voice our opinion and concern about America and Mr. Bush then people will hear us and may be join us.

Our President Pervez Musharraf (may Allah grant him a long life) is the first man I admire. He may not be 100% to our likings but he is making an effort to bring some stability in the country. He needs our support. I know wherever he has made an effort to cut down bribes; we have devised ways to increase corruption. This is not Islamic.

It can be summed up in two words: more dangerous. While Americans bemoan the alleged fundamentalism of Muslims, 51% of them have returned a fundamentalist to the White House. He will continue doing for the next four years what he has been doing for the last four: make this world more dangerous. Bush has surrounded himself with advisors who tell him what he likes to hear and thus he is totally shielded from realities. Realities are that his conduct of war in Iraq has actually increased, not decreased, terrorism, insecurities and chaos.

If you glance at history of Pakistan-America relations since the day Pakistan was created, whenever the Republicans were in power, they have always supported Pakistan. For example, during the Russian-Afghan war, it was Republican government that supplied Pakistan with that heavy arms and ammunitions, as they never had it before. Your deals of all F-16, heavy artillery etc. was all given to Pakistan during that era. Why? Because of the cold war US had self-interests. Nonetheless, it came in handy for us.

However, it does not go true when the Democrats were in power as we got all those economic sanctions during the 8-year regime of Clinton. Republicans have always accepted the vision of Pakistan that its nuclear power is not to be misused whereas Democrats think otherwise.

Right now, I can even quote tons of examples of Ronald Reagan regime and even back. But if you study history in this very perspective of Democrats and Republicans, one thing is clear and that Republicans are good for Pakistan.

So, I think we should be content with Bush getting re elected. Yes, Bush is offensive. Yes, Bush is a terrorist but for whom? For other Muslim communities who have anti-American dictators like Saddam, Khatami of Iran etc. Look at Gaddafi of Libya, it was in terrorists list back in the days when Gaddafi had an Anti-American attitude, but now, he has realized how world is moving and told "yes sir" to Bush resulting in good diplomatic relations with USA now.

For Pakistanis, it is time to think for you what you call selfishness and Musharraf is doing the right thing. Had we got a leader like Tahir-ul-Qadri and Qazi Hussain Ahmed what would have happened to us is simple.

Diplomatic relations with US would have severed with backbreaking sanctions imposed on Pakistan besides worsening of Pak-India relations over Kashmir dispute.

And from what we have seen in years, they would try to enforce Islamic laws all over the state with paying little or no attention at all to our "sensitive diplomatic relations" with countries like India and USA.

So, what Musharraf is doing is right. Let a diplomat (Shaukat Aziz) take care of Pakistan. Your (Pakistanis) most of the elected and re-elected people like Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto who are not even in the country anymore had made black money like hell. Secondly, what option do you have? Imran Khan? He can't handle his wife? Can he handle a country?

So, Bush getting re-elected is something good for us. Let the war on terror continue, as it will just strengthen Pak-US relations.

An intelligent enemy is better than a stupid friend! Based on this fact Bush & Co. is still much better for Pakistan than our so-called friends "Muslim ummah" and our own fanatic Mullas. They are more dangerous for Pakistan than any Bush and his allied forces.

The mullas, who are calling for Jihad against US or any western world, they are using all their sources and connections to send their own children to US or other western world for better education or better life and they themselves don't miss any chance to run there for any minor check ups using all kinds of health excuses to enter these countries.

If they think those western people so superior and admiring for their medical abilities, their education system then why they are not able to accept them and fallow them rather calling for war against them?

Be sure no one is more dangerous (not even Bush) for Pakistan than our own Muslim brothers and handful of fanatics.

No matter who comes, policies will remain the same to crush Muslims economically and physically. Because, we know that 4.9% Americans (Jewish) who control USA and the whole world, are the policy-makers instead of Bush or Kerry. They are just their puppets, circus clowns and nothing else.

Americans have proved that they favor crusade. If we recall soon after his success in 2000, Bush had declared 'crusade'.  We don't need to define crusade, as most people of the world understand it and those who don’t should consult history of Sultan Saladin’s period.

US election- 2004 unfolds that a very high percentage of churchgoers voted for Bush. There was also a group of Muslim in USA under the banner of "Muslim for Bush". Let us not talk about them as history tells us that most of the time Muslims were backstabbed by Muslim.

Best suited example of present time is our President Pervez Musharraf, who is living in a rat-hole and sooner he comes out Pakistani suicide bombers are chasing all over their dearest and elected president of Pakistan. Bush or the Americans are using fake reasons. World have not seen the proofs that Al-Qaida was behind the Sept 11, 2001 attack on the world trade center.

Let us ask the crusaders Bush and the Americans where are those WMD of Iraq, which was the reason to attack Iraq unilaterally. Did the Americans found Al-Zarqavi in Falluja or how many foreigners were fighting in Falluja. What surprises me is that most people of the world understand what is going against Muslims of the world but some scared Muslim living in USA have guts to support Republicans or some money hungry people like the army generals of Pakistan that they always accept USA as their "masters".  Zia-UL-Haq was a pure maulvi and now Pervez Musharraf a liberal. These two entirely opposite personalities sending us some message, which we sooner understand the better.

Pakistan is already at the dump yard as Bush government is accusing them for providing high grade Uranium to Iran. Americans understand that this is the best time for them with people like Pervez Musharraf in Pakistan and the leadership of the Muslim countries (except few) is in their total control. At Falluja, the relaying message to the Muslim of the world "Be slave of America or be prepared to be brutally massacred. This is the responsibility of Muslim news media to educate their Muslim brothers for the danger ahead of them. USA media is fully following the footsteps of their government and, therefore, they only publish news and in such wordings, which are supportive to their crusading cause.

Carolyn Parish, a Canadian liberal MP understands the Bush policy and its outcome. Muslim leaders are the only people who are enjoying the life in their Harems. It is not the Muslim public but it is the Muslim leadership, which is corrupt.

The fight is between the corrupts and the Maulvis and see who is suffering the educated and good Muslims, they are getting slaps on their both faces from all sides. We surely want our Muslim government but we don't want these crooks or these so-called ignorant Mullahs government, that is but sure.

Commonsense which is not very common in Pakistan. If some one breaks in to your house and steals or do anything to destroy you, you would be exceptionally foolish not to use all your resources available at your hands to defend yourself.

So, American never went with hijacked planes and crashed into any Muslim country and killed innocent humans. As a matter of fact, it has helped in all shapes of life to all the Muslim countries.

Don't forget the war in Balkans during the time of Clinton when all the Christians were slaughtering Muslims. America was the first one to go and get rid of those people with its force.

Today, thank God we have a president and a prime minister who are very sensible and patriot to Pakistan. So what if they favour USA.

Ah! Do you really want these maulvees to come in power and change Pakistan into Talibistan? This is not the love for Muslims; it is the jealousy and hatred for USA. In order to succeed one has to follow the person who is successful this is real Islam. Not beheading people; ah shame on you all. There is so much to answer all these foolish thoughts of people. I really need a lot of time and it will be full of logics and facts.

Initially, that is while the presidential campaigns were going on and Bush hadn’t won yet, I was under the impression just like a lot of other folks out there that Bush would try to take things a little "easy" in his second-term of office. My ideas got a little confirmation by the comments made by the editor of "Newsweek" in response to a question put forth by Peter Jennings on the night of the election result. His question was on the same lines as yours- impact of Bush’s victory on the rest of the world.

But Fareed Zakaria’s optimistic and hopeful assumptions of Bush’s foreign policy on which I was constantly nodding in approval were rather snubbed by the host who cut his views short by literally saying, "I don’t agree with you" and with that he swung his chair, shifted his position and shifted the topic of discussion back to the incoming election results. I was rather upset thinking that the poor chap didn’t get a fair amount of airtime and a fair amount of courtesy to allow him to express his opinion, which I believed represented a majority of people’s beliefs

However as it has turned out, considering the major offensive by the American and allied forces on the insurgents in Faluja, Bush has not wasted anytime at all in signaling to the rest of the world that he is not just back, he is back with a bang! Secondly, the fact that he has won by quite a majority as far as the number of Republicans in the H.O.R is concerned he has a clear mandate to get his bills and his decisions passed and approved pretty easily. As for the UN, well, he hasn’t really taken it seriously in the past, has he? I mean who does?

On a serious note and being a Pakistani, however, I really think that we should be worried about keeping our nuclear bombs intact and far away from the reach of religious fanatics and consequently far away from the reach of Bush. As long as the people in office in Pakistan are "approved" by the people in office in America and as long as we keep playing "delaying tactics" and  "India first" regarding nuclear disarmament, and as long as the ISI is of use to the CIA in Afghanistan, we are fine for four more years at least. Phew! After that, well we, l think of something after all we are Pakistanis, besides, Jise Allah rakhe use kaun chakke?

I must say that USA is for US citizens only. They made their choice according to their adopted system. Some one likes it or not, it doesn't matter now. We should accept the reality and should be optimistic about the future.

No one can predict anything because no one is a prophet. If Muslims, as many believe, and very proud of their identity should prove themselves worthy of this difficult challenge, which is facing them right now.

Bush is an honest man. He will do whatever is possible to save those people who are afraid of Muslim extremism. We should respect his opinion and honour him with equal and opposite response. That’s what a honourable and honest enemy will always do to his enemy.

Muslims are afraid to accept him or his friends and companions their enemies. They try to find the middle way out of this conflict of civilizations, but let me be honest, there is no way out of this any more. What has started will come to an end, only those people will survive, who can fight for themselves and their freedom.

Chances for attack on Syria will be increased. Chances for the attack/demolition on/of Masjid al Aqsa by Israel will be increased. Chances for the attack on Sudan will be increased. May be America will protect/support Israel for demolition of mosque Al Aqsa.

To counter expected protests by some parties, Pakistan government may be forced to kill out those elements. Pakistan will be taken to such a stage of Kashmir solution during demolition of Aqsa that it may not get an opportunity to protest against the demolition.

May be present government members’ faces will be changed due to a deal between America and ousted Pakistani politicians. Activities for an independent Balochistan will be raised/encouraged.

A new Bush regime means intensified wars, more beheading of hostages, further slaying of US troops and kidnappings. There will be more of the same arrogant behavior and contempt for intelligent world opinion from a re-elected president. Expansion of war in the Middle East is foreseen.

My point of view is that it doesn’t matter who is the president of USA because president follows policies of his country and their policy is only to kill Muslims. He will kill other thousands of Muslims and after that Muslims will awake from deep sleep and this will make them united.

But for next four years, world will suffer more violence and division of civilizations. There will be big space between Muslim world and West. I think there may be same tragedy like 9/11 because every action has equal reaction but in opposite direction.

I am sure this time he will not be the same Bush who was elected in the year 2000. Now, he will be more responsible and he will not commit any mistake. He will use his own brain rather than looking at his aggressive advisors.

He may think different option in building his relation with Pakistan. No negative impact will be on Pakistan. He will try to be hero in solving the long-standing dispute of Kashmir and Palestine.

As in the past, the rulers of Pakistan disappointed US. Therefore, this time Mr. Bush will extend his full support to President Musharraf Govt. and, in response, he will expect much more from Pakistan regarding his current issues, as Afghanistan+ Iraq + Palestine.

First of all, congratulations to Mr. Bush for winning perhaps the most closely contested US elections in history. Wish him luck because he can consider himself pretty damn lucky. As far as, the world is concerned, Pakistan in particular, we can expect the same 'do-more' nonsense for the next four years. Again God save Pakistan.

Please understand that not all Americans support Bush. This country is divided like I have never seen it divided before – friend against friend, brother against brother. There are many of us who know that our current administration is clueless regarding Middle East cultures, values and, perhaps most importantly, timelines. For that matter, it is clueless regarding Islam. We have our own extremists here within our own religions, but we have not respected your right to deal with your extremists in your own time and in your own way.

What happened on 9/11 involved extremists angry over our country’s support for Israel! So many here think that it happened for other reasons, which is unfortunate. Personally, I respect Islam, I respect your country and I wish nothing but the best for the people of Pakistan. I wish better understanding for a little more than half the people of America. But more importantly, I wish statehood for Palestine and a willingness to bend from Israel.

With the ongoing war waged against Iraq by Bush & Co. and with Syria and Iran in its sights, it is imperative that the global anti-war movement turns up the heat and rise to the challenge. As well, we should be demanding-- loud and clear--that Bush & Co. be tried for its war crimes. Without accountability there can be no democracy. And make no mistake: The insular and ignorant racist US administration is not Pakistan's friend. It will remain friendly only so long as Pakistan serves the neo-cons interests and is useful to them.

It is very difficult for Muslims because according to Mr. Bush he wants to win. So it means that he is playing a big game with Muslims after 09/11. He thinks that he is fighting with terrorism but there is no terrorist in Afghanistan and Iraq. Ok, Saddam is over, game is finished but why is he keeping his forces still in Iraq? He should have pulled down his forces immediately. But if he does so, how could he attack on Iran?

Our Muslim Ummah brothers are going to sell 10 Mirage 2000 fighters to India, so much so, for the so-called Muslim Ummah? Bush is Pakistan’s best friend, which our Pakistani brothers failed to comprehend? Please save me from my own brothers and their limited mind thinking.

Due to 2nd term of President Bush, America will go from bad to worse. History will show that this will be the last president of so-called superpower.

Downfall of the American nation will start very soon under the leadership of Bush because he is the number one liar and because of his policies.

Sad--just sad--there are no other words to explain the decision the Americans have taken for themselves. Now, I only hope and pray that Bush for the next four years remains a US President and stops behaving like a global president.

This election should be an eye opener for the entire peaceful world that professes peace and equality. I believe that we are at the verge of world war three. It has started already by police role of USA under the rule of President Bush. The American conduct in dealing with the world affairs is based on master-servant thinking. American regimes think peanuts of rest of the people, although they may claim to be the champions of human rights, but in fact, they are the biggest violators of human rights and principles of equality.

We must not forget that Hitler adopted the same attitude, when Second World War started. Like him, America has started by-passing United Nations and started acting as a plaintiff as well as a judge of its own case and started inflicting wounds on other nations. It will not be long when other nations start reacting against America and it may start Third World War.

I believe after surprise win of Bush, the world may see more violence in the garb of human rights protection. America may be producing more enemies for America and his countrymen with their conceited conduct. If the modern world show indifferent attitude toward global policies we might predict more destruction in the world peace and we would be responsible for it.

America is a powerful country and it must learn to respect others or history bears the testimony that many previous powerful states were destroyed and finished because of this attitude and conduct. So I believe, we might see more violence and suppression on certain religion worshipping people. It will continue and it might be the forecast of arrival of Imam Medhi because we gather from the Hadith that his arrival will be almost in the same circumstances. So if that happens then I believe we are heading for the worst war of all times of the world.

We all know that Bush believes in the crusade wars and he might be imposing them on Muslims. I will not be surprised if Muslim ummah gathers and start reacting to it jointly. Bush administration will pick up on Syria and Iran and so forth on the pretext of making the world safer but actually, they will drive the world to unsafe in next four years.

President Bush will continue to fulfill American desire to capture world oil resources not only for his country's economic revival but also to subdue growing and uniting Europe. The Muslims of the world will be the worst victims of this ordeal and new world order by giving them the name of terrorist and axis of evil. For their survival the Muslims of the world have no other choice than to be united and get rid of American representatives acting as rulers in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq. May God bless now world and show his mercy by doing right justice as he did in the past.

The business as usual will continue in Afghanistan and Iraq with some eyewash to persist with the policy of usurping human rights of the people over there.

As usual, we get worried about whole world and let the world know how do we feel about things, which don't concern us directly. Nothing new would happen and as long as Pakistan remains their ally, no change.

I believe President Bush will be less confrontational and militaristic in his second term. He certainly will continue to use more than willing client states for his ends. However, his neo-conservative economic policies will not help reducing the massive deficit and strengthening the US dollar which will eventually force the government to raise interest rates. The negative impact of such policy will be the worldwide economic recession in early 2006, if not sooner.

It will bring some positive change across the globe. This is a kind of trick that America plays when it wants. What positive change Mr. Bush will bring-- a second war on IRAQ. What Americans think Bush is a magician, a joker or a filmy hero who will fix everything in a year or so? This is not a movie, this is reality and reality is always different from filmy world.

There is no need to explain to the world what is happening in Iraq and Palestine. Open your eyes O' Muslim world and think what they did in the past and what they will do in future.

I just came across the shocking news, which is flashed on Internet that Mr. Bush understands the problems of Pakistan in a best possible way. How? He (Bush) not belongs to Pakistan. So how he is able to understand our problems. He cannot solve his own country's problem, how can he claim to understand Pakistan’s problems. Sheikh Rasheed passed this information to the entire world. May be Bush understands Sheikh’s problems but certainly not Pakistan’s. All I want to say-- be careful of America and their so- called policy.

I personally believe that there will be no positive impact on the world, whatsoever, after the victory of George Bush. American people did the same mistake as they did four years before. Bush’s second-term means, second war, may be in Iran or Iraq. Now the Americans have given him free hand for four years. He (Bush) will play with the world, the way he wants and nobody will be able to deter him.

On the one hand Americans claim that they do not want war any more and, on the other hand, they are supporting Bush. What does it show? The real picture of Americans not doing what they say, but what they don’t say they practice. They are playing double policy. They claim that Bush is the symbol of war and in spite of that they made him win. Why? Because all the Americans who love terrorism and violence, they love Bush as he is the symbol of terror, war, cruelty and violence in himself. All the people who love to pick up arms to kill humanity are with Bush.

I request all the Muslim brothers that don’t trust in U.S. policy, no matter in what form it is. Be careful of American Yankees more than ever because now they are stronger than ever and have support of all cynical people around the globe. The most important factor, which is described by the Holy Quran: Yhood and Nasaara can never be your friends. It is enough to understand from what is happening in Iraq and Palestine and even after that if someone expects that it will bring some positive change around, I simply would say he did not understand America the enemy of Islam and the humanity.
