Usman Mukhtar has taken the internet by storm with the power-packed trailer of Umro Ayyar - A New Beginning, released on Monday, April 8, 2024.
The trailer presents an exciting fusion of intense action, mystical themes, and impressive visual effects, promising a fantastic cinematic journey.
It kicks off with a childhood sequence of Mukhtar’s character Amar, where his father (played by Adnan Siddiqui) tells him a tale of Koh-Kaf.
Later on, Amar, who is now an adult and a science professor with too much skepticism towards the supernatural wakes up from a dream only to find himself in a battle of cosmic proportions between good and evil.
The action-filled trailer also highlights the characters of Ali Kazmi and Sanam Saeed in full glory, while Hamza Ali Abbasi, who is portraying a threatening demon also made a brief appearance.
Umro Ayyar - A New Beginning is directed by Azfar Jafri, who in an interview with Arab News clarified that “Some Western books and films incorporate elements derived from Umro Ayyar’s verse, leading our younger audience to believe that these concepts are entirely their own.”
Jafri added, “We have aimed to shed light on the true source of inspiration and made the decision to create a film centered on Umro Ayyar.”
