Pakistan's Foreign Minister revealed on Sunday that more than 650 Pakistani students are being brought back from Kyrgyzstan.
This decision comes in the wake of recent clashes between locals and foreigners near student residences in the capital city, Bishkek.
Overnight Friday, four Pakistani students were injured as brawls erupted involving hundreds of students from various countries.
According to students in the city, authorities instructed them to remain indoors.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated in a press conference in Islamabad, "Three special commercial flights have been arranged."
He further added, "This was an attack on foreign students, not just Pakistani students. There were also Indian, Bangladeshi, and Arab students."
On Saturday, approximately 130 students arrived in Pakistan.
The government summoned the Kyrgyzstan charge d'affaires to the foreign office on Saturday to provide details on the clashes.
While, the clashes ensued after an incident earlier in the week where foreign students reported harassment in their dormitories by unidentified individuals, as per the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyrgyzstan.
Additionally, local media reported that over 11,000 Pakistanis are studying across Kyrgyzstan, which is particularly popular among medical students.
