Real Madrid has encountered multiple injury concerns with Federico Valverde and David Alaba during their match against Arsenal.

On Tuesday night, April 9, Madrid faced a crushing defeat in a 3-0 game in the Champions League.

At the Emirates stadium, two free-kicks from Declan Rice and a phenomenal goal from Mikel Merino bagged a well-deserved win for Arsenal.

For the next match, Madrid will be without Eduardo Camavinga, who was sent off in injury time for a second yellow card.

Along with that, the club might be missing both Federico and David, who reported "discomfort" after the defeat.

Carlo Ancelotti is expected to face major hurdle as both the players undergoes further tests with Madrid's medical department.

Following the overwhelming defeat, club manager admitted that a comeback in the second leg would be "very, very difficult."

While praising Arsenal, Carlo noted, "Today they [Arsenal] showed a better attitude, quality, and many other things they did better than us."

Real Madrid will be playing against Alaves in La Liga on Sunday, before hosting Arsenal in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final next Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
