Dakota Johnson and musician Role Model have split after several years together.
As per PEOPLE, a source exclusively shared that The Materialists star and Role Model, 29, have gone their separate ways, with the pair splitting “a while ago.”
Johnson and Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury were first linked over dinner in December 2025 and were later spotted together in Los Angeles in January.
“It’s definitely more than a fling, or just a flirt,” a source told the outlet in April of the relationship, adding they’d been dating “since late last year.”
Johnson was reportedly interested in Role Model but preferred to move cautiously following her years-long relationship with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
She kept her romance with Martin out of the spotlight, while a source told the outlet they were on the same page and found things easy between them.
Johnson opened up about Martin during a conversation with Bustle when asked how it felt to watch him on stage.
"I love watching him. I could watch him every day," she said. "I don’t know how to explain it. I feel like, I don’t know ... I’m watching my most favorite being do his most favorite thing."
To note, Pillsbury and Johnson collaborated on one of the tracks from his latest album, Chuck Timely & the Hourglass.
Johnson is featured in a spoken-word moment on Love I You, after she spontaneously dropped by the studio while he was recording the track.
In her segment, Johnson exchanges flirty lines with Pillsbury in a spoken bridge.
Pillsbury’s previous relationship was with influencer Emma Chamberlain, whom he dated from 2020 to 2023.
Before her romance with Martin, Johnson was romantically linked to Noah Gersh, Jordan Masterson and Matthew Hitt.
Notably, her split came after Johnson is set to mesmerise the fans with her performance on big screen once again in Verity alongside Anne Hathaway and Josh Hartnett.
She is also currently in production on Three Incestuous Sisters, with Saoirse Ronan, Jessie Buckley and Josh O’Connor.
