Katrina Kaif is bringing attention to the pressure women face during the postpartum period, reminding them that personal choices and well-being should matter more than online criticism or public expectations.
Katrina Kaif has a message for new moms facing postpartum trolling
Speaking at the Kay Beauty event in London, the Don 3 actress said that people need to be careful about letting the narrative on social media affect their sense of self-worth.
She shared, “We really need to be careful of letting the narrative on social media affect our self-worth and our value, because there are so many opinions out there that if we're going to start trying to cater to all of them, I think it really hampers your ability to make choices for yourself.”
Kaif mentioned, “Personally for me, if every time that I faced critiques or comments, I let that dictate my actions, I think I would have been paralysed with fear and unable to move ahead in my life or in any sphere of life.”
“There are times where the world is going to celebrate you and other times you have to really be your own biggest cheerleader,” the mother of one noted.
She said women should accept themselves and stay true to who they are, recognizing that their needs and identities can change through different phases of life.
Kaif noted that confidence and self-perception can fluctuate, encouraging women to embrace different phases of life, be kinder to themselves and avoid taking themselves too seriously.
Katrina Kaif faced online trolling
In September 2026, Katrina Kaif faced online trolling over her postpartum figure after attending the Ambani family’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Antilia with husband Vicky Kaushal.
The couple welcomed their son, Vihaan, in November 2025, with critics targeting Kaif for not immediately returning to her pre-pregnancy body.
However, the fans and celebrities came to her defence, calling out the unrealistic beauty standards and societal pressure new mothers face to regain their pre-pregnancy figures.
