Miley Cyrus has raised a significant amount for the cause close to her heart!
The Flowers crooner collaborated with the Downtown Women's Centre (DWC) in Los Angeles to support women and gender-diverse individuals experiencing homelessness.
During the event, Miley, who recently launched her tenth studio album, Bass Persuades, raised a whopping amount for the infamous HOME campaign.
"Proud to have been a part of raising over $2.1 million tonight in support of @dwcweb and their HOME campaign, with the vision of seeing every woman housed," the Aftermath hitmaker added.
She added, "Being part of DWC alongside my mom means the world to me, and there's so much more to come. @themileycyrusfoundation."
Miley was also accompanied by her mother, Tish Cyrus, during the event where she addressed the crowd.
Miley Cyrus's charity foundation
For the unversed, the one-time Grammy-winning musician launched The Miley Cyrus Foundation in late 2024 as an extension of the singer's social impact work through the Happy Hippie Foundation.
Day centre & residence lobby redesign
The foundation’s first major initiative involved renovating the DWC's Skid Row Day Centre and permanent housing residence lobby to create safer, more welcoming environments.
Impact and support
The Skid Row Day Centre serves over 5,000 women annually by providing meals, hygiene resources, and critical support. The project also featured furniture contributions from partners like Lulu and Georgia.
Gala and matching gifts
Miley Cyrus and her mother, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, have been honoured as key leaders for their ongoing advocacy. The foundation has matched significant fundraising gifts, including a $75,000 match during the DWC’s Every Woman Housed Gala events.
Limited-edition collaborations
Miley and Tish have continued to collaborate directly with DWC on awareness and fundraising initiatives, such as limited-edition merchandise releases.
The occasion falls today on the 2026 International Day of the Girl Child, which is annually observed on October 11th.
