The Six Flags roller coaster incident has killed one and left several others injured.
According to The Guardian, the police confirmed that a fatal incident involving a Six Flags rollercoaster in Georgia on Monday, October 12, left one dead as several others were injured.
The Cobb County Police Department said that the incident took place at the amusement park about 15 miles (25 km) northwest of Atlanta.
Officials have not shared details of the incident and how the person died, but multiple media outlets citing the eyewitnesses reported that the person fell from the Goliath rollercoaster, which was opened in 2006, which has a top speed of 70 mph (110 km/h) and a 175 ft drop.

A Six Flags spokesperson expressed condolences and said that the park and local authorities responded to the incident.
The spokesperson said, “We are deeply saddened by the guest incident at our park today. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the guest’s family, friends, and loved ones,” adding that they are cooperating with the local authorities in the investigation.
Eyewitness recalls the horrific incident
People who were present in the park at the time of the incident said that they saw a man falling from the roller coaster.
One witness told WXIA of Atlanta, “He fell and hit the car three different times.”
Logan Conner said he was on the ride with his fiancé when he saw the man come out of his seat on Goliath.
He said, “The man started levitating in the air sideways. We made direct eye contact with him.”
Two of the witnesses said that the person struck parts of the ride before hitting the ground.
It is worth noting that the death came nearly two weeks after Six Flags Magic Mountain in California announced it would permanently close its world-famous ride X2 after reports revealed that life-altering injuries and deaths were linked to the roller coaster.
