Carrot Top update after reported suicide attempt

The post comes nearly a month after Thompson's representative told Fox News Digital, "Mr. Thompson is recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs."

"His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers and respectfully ask for privacy," the representative added.

As per the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Carrot Top was spotted at a bar in the city around 2 p.m. Friday, several hours before his scheduled 8 p.m. performance.

Notably, the reason behind the hospitalisation and further details are yet to be officially disclosed.

Carrot Top extorted over a sex tape

He was allegedly being extorted over a sex tape before the reported suicide attempt, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.

His attorney, Ronnie Bitman, claimed in a September 3 filing that former opening performer Brian Evans threatened to release an explicit video of Thompson unless he paid $500,000.
