As reported by Hindustan Times, Although Virat and Anushka kept the location of their second child’s birth a secret in Tuesday’s announcement, there has been quite a buzz that the Band Baaja Baaraat actress delivered her son in London.
Despite having no confirmed reports about the exact birth location of Akaay, Sports Tak in their recent report has claimed that the newborn “would not automatically inherit” British citizenship, as per UK rules.
The outlet in their report explained that, a child is not immediately regarded as a British citizen just because they are born in the United Kingdom.

According to Sports Tak, although the former captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli and the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress have a house in London, their son Akaay cannot become a British citizen.
The news report further suggested Akaay could be eligible to apply for UK’s citizenship only if he was born London, and reside their until he turns 10.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, who are already doting parents to their elder daughter Vamika, welcomed their baby boy on Tuesday.
