Dua Lipa has unveiled a candid insight into her approach to criticism and adversity as she shared how her detractors have served as a source of motivation, igniting a fire within her to overcome obstacles and exceed expectations.

During the conversation with Zane Lowe that aired on Apple Music 1 on Wednesday, May 1, the Houdini singer discussed coping with those who have openly criticised her over the years.

"I think everything comes in stages and waves," she told the radio host, 50.

Lipa continued, "There can be a moment where people really love you and you feel so supported and you're like, 'Oh, this is great.' Especially in the beginning. I was doing interviews and people were like, 'How do you deal with hate?' And I'm like, 'I don't get any hate. It's great.' And then that changed really quickly."

Reflecting on facing harsh experience when she won the Grammy for best new artist in 2019.

The Illusion crooner added, "There was people online being like, 'She's not deserving of it. She's got no stage presence. She can't do this. She's not well- equipped to, she's not even ... She won't be here next year,'"

Dua Lipa who is set to release her third studio album, Radical Optimism, on May 03, 2024, also shared, "There was a lot of that. That fueled me in a way."
