King Charles, who will not be able to meet Prince Harry due to monarch’s busy schedule was asked for the potential meeting weeks ago.

As reported by Express UK, a source revealed that the Duke of Sussex was refused to meet his cancer-stricken father, although he requested the monarch nearly a month prior to his visit.

Prince Harry will be attending the thanksgiving service on the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, today on May 8, 2024, while King Charles will grace one of the two annual garden parties of the Buckingham palace on the same day.

A royal historian Firm Hugo Vickers in his conversation to Page Six said, "If the King wanted to see Harry, he would find time very easily. You can never be too busy to see your son.”

He added, "It’s a good idea if they do meet to forge some kind of reconciliation.”

While another senior royal source added, "We don’t know how that meeting went, but I do know that the King was exhausted and really keen to get off to Balmoral.”

"He was desperate to be on his way and was delayed until Harry turned up," they added.

This update comes shortly after a spokesperson on behalf of Harry confirmed that, “It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty's full programme. The Duke of course is understanding of his father's diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."
