Ireland has announced its 15-member squad for the upcoming Men’s T20 World Cup in West Indies and USA.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC) opening batsman Paul Stirling was named as the captain of the team on Wednesday, May 8.

Ireland on Tuesday announced its three T20 squads, all under the leadership of Stirling.

These squads will take part in a series against Pakistan, the tri-series against Netherlands and Scotland and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The squad includes experienced names such as Stirling, Andrew Balbirnie, and George Dockrell.

Ireland will play its first group match of the mega event against India on June 6 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, US.

Currently, the Ireland team is number 11 in the World T20Is ranking.

Ireland has featured in the T20 World Cup since 2009 when it made it to the Super Eight stage on their debut.
