Pakistan Cricket Board has signed Gary Kirsten as a coach of the team for two years

Pakistan cricket team’s newly appointed white ball coach, Garay Kirsten, will join the squad in England on Sunday, May 19.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Tuesday, “Gary Kirsten will join the national men’s side in Leeds on May 19 to commence his two-year tenure as the white-ball head coach.”

The board further added, “Kirsten’s arrival will be three days prior to the start of the four-match T20I series against England at Headingley on May 22. The series will be followed by the ICC T20 World Cup in the US and Caribbean.”

Kirsten has previously coached South Africa and India and won the 2011 World Cup with India.

He is appointed for two years and will be in charge of the upcoming T20 World Cup, ICC Champions Trophy 2025, ACC T20 Asia Cup 2025 AND ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Kirsten said in a statement, “I’ve missed the experience of coaching at the international level and nurturing talented players to reach their full potential. I’m committed to working closely with the (Pakistan) team to elevate their game and bring joy to fans around the world.”
