Here's what Sophie Turner 'hated' about being married to Joe Jonas

Sophie Turner is dishing out what being married to one of the Jonas Brothers was like, months after her marriage to Joe Jonas broke down.

The Game of Thrones, in her recent British Vogue cover story, opened up about her divorce from Joe for the first time, and revealed what she ‘hated’ about being a wife to one of the famous trio.

According to Sophie, while she was ‘fully welcomed’ to the Jonas family when she dated and eventually married Joe, she didn’t quite enjoy the labelling that came with being a ‘wife’ to him.

“There was a lot of attention on the three brothers, and the wives. Well, we were always called the wives, and I hated that,” Sophie shared.

She added, “It was kind of this plus-one feeling. And that’s nothing to do with him – in no way did he make me feel that – it was just that the perception of us was as the groupies in the band.”

Sophie also shared that her and Joe's 2021 move to Miami only made matters worse.

"I just felt like a little bird trapped in a gilded cage. It was amazing, yes, but I didn’t have any friends there," she said.

Sophie and Joe first met in 2016, and tied the knot after eloping to Las Vegas in 2019. They were married for about four years, before announcing their separation in September, 2023. They share two daughters, Willa and Delphine.
