Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are Bollywood’s most adored couple. The superstars tied the knot in 2007 and recently celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary.
The power couple shares a daughter Aaradhya. Recently during a podcast, Abhishek revealed his lovestory and how he went from seeing Aish as his co-worker to his future wife.
According to Ludu actor, he fell in love with his wife during the shoot of Umraao Jan. He talked about the transition of their relationship— from friends to lovers to husband and wife. He said:
“I first worked with Aishwarya in my initial films. We first worked together on Dhai Akshar Prem Ke,” he continued. “We were friends since then. We were dear friends. We were simultaneously doing another film, Kuch Na Kaho. We always had a close friendship, and in time, it evolved into something more than that.”
“Things took a serious turn during Umrao Jaan. After that, I proposed to her and then we got married and now we have a beautiful daughter, Aaradhya.”
He added that, “If you ever get to meet her, you will be completely disarmed by her simplicity. She is very real and very normal.”
Even though they both are thriving in their married life, the duo has stopped working professionally for a while. It has been ten years since they both shared screen. Their last film together was Mani Ratnam’s Raavan.
