Amean J has become one of the most prolific photographers in Pakistan - whether it's the campaign for a Sonya Battla lawn shoot whose pictures are devoured by lawn-obsessive women or his travelogues that are exhibited via his website - Amean's star has risen steadily over the years. Every photography exhibit in town - be it at the Koel, Canvas or Photospace galleries - or collaborative exhibits like 8.8.8.8 have Amean J's signature photography displayed in all their glory. More recently, his stunning photography for the Nabila Changes campaign had fashionistas sighing in delight as they walked into Nabila's salon, where they grace the wall. His involvement with the upcoming Shanaakht Festival will see him curating a photography exhibit that will showcase images of Pakistan taken throughout its history. As one of Pakistan's prominent photographers, it is great to see Amean - our hotstepper of the week - taking a step forward and actively working with festivals such as Shanaakht.
