q&a
Foot In Mouth:
Mekaal Hasan

Instep: What misconceptions do people have about you?

Mekaal Hasan: That I’m rude and difficult.

Instep: What is the worst rumour you have heard about yourself?

MH: Someone (a professional musician no less), spread the rumour I was gay while I’m heterosexual with a vengeance!

Instep: Any lessons learnt the hard way?

MH: Learning to give up on someone who can’t change. That’s always tough especially when you have a real friendship with that person.

Instep: What’s the weirdest thing a fan has ever said to you?

MH: You sing great!

Instep: Tell us something no one knows about you?

MH: Can’t tell you that…then everyone would know wouldn’t they?

Instep: What drives you: money, fame or success?

MH: Music… the other three happen when people connect with the music which comes from you.

Instep: What do you fail to understand about the opposite sex?

MH: How can someone who looks so good be so bad;)

Instep: What is the most important relationship advice you can give?

MH: Don’t…

Instep: When was the last time you kicked ass?

MH: I’m too old to kick anything but the bucket!

Instep: What do you consider your best physical asset?

MH: Really! I have assets?

Instep: How do you unwind?

MH: Hanging out with friends

Instep: Have you ever done anything you shouldn’t have?

MH: Many times :)

Instep: Have you ever envied another person?

MH: No. I’m not insecure about who or what I am. If anything I admire many people who I feel are facing the same issues I am but are coping with them better than me.

Instep: Define your sense of style.

MH:  Ask Ammar Belal. He knows.

Instep: What is the price of success?

MH: Not getting paid enough to be successful.
