that would be going just skin deep. Being a woman that exudes the
type of confidence that Nabila does is enough to make men run off
a mile in the opposite direction. Nabila is the woman who knows
exactly what she wants and how to get. She calls a spade a spade,
doesn’t mince words and is a major player, without ever having
resorted to the petty politics so common in the fashion world. Nabila
plays hardball and is very hard-nosed about it. Not only is she
completely tuned in to corporate culture, she runs a ship so professional
that corporate players are drawn to it. She doesn’t act like
a tantrum throwing diva, choosing instead to wield her power discretely.
However, nobody can deny it. Nabila is a self-made woman and therefore
very self-assured. Her self-contained persona and absolute self-confidence
is what makes her so powerful and adds to her beauty.

Juggan Kazim could be glowing because of her Brand Ambassadorship
for Garnier but either way she has the most radiant skin we have
seen. Usually spotted at high profile events with that million dollar
smile and minimal make-up, Juggan is as more confident than many
who spend hours with their hair and make-up guys.

Imran Khan
When a man can set hearts aflutter no matter what his age it means
there is something special about him. This brings us to Imran Khan,
former sportsman, current politician, constant heartthrob. We haven’t
seen anyone like him. Cricket has yet to see a finer captain, women
have yet to have a finer man to adore and men a worthier hero to
emulate. Now in his political position, he both charms and riles
with his passionate speeches. Love or loathe his politics, you have
to respect Imran for always speaking his mind.
Musician
of the moment: Ali Zafar
What makes Ali Zafar the musician du jour? Is it his boyish good
looks, his charm on and off-screen, or the passion with which he
ventures into anything that he does? Perhaps it is all these facts
and more. Ali Zafar has the versatility to please anyone’s
musical taste. He works on what God gave him and is super polished
now. Then there is that incredible conviction with which Ali does
everything - song, video or film - that shines through all his undertakings.
Any man who works towards his goals with such single-minded determination
is super sexy!

Mummy: Mahira Khan
This bubbly girl started out as a VJ and has lost none of her free
spirit as she has grown into a beautiful woman before our eyes.
Glowing before and after giving birth to a baby boy she has never
faltered. Mahira has done everything from walking the ramp at fashion
week to modeling right after her baby was born. Looking sexy usually
goes out the door for most of us after kids but the stylish Mahira

Most dads tend to let themselves go once they get the highly prized
trophy wife. Not Faisal Kapadia! He still has hearts racing and
not just for his voice but his toned bod too. Faisal keeps fit for
his fans by regularly hitting the gym with bud Bilal Maqsood. Also,
we love the fact that events he is accompanied by his gorgeous wife
Seema, and their two sons who look like his Mini-Mes. There are
too many celebs who keep their families out of the spotlight. We
love a family that is in it together.

Omar Bilal Akhtar
of ADP
Omar Bilal Akhtar is one of those singers whose voice makes you
stop and listen. He has strong vocals that project well, and has
a catch to his voice that makes it his own. Omar, or OBA as he is
popularly known has a deep, melodic voice that is as easy to listen
to while he sings as it is when he talks. Perhaps lending to his
sexiness are all the references we have about him; like the fact
that he plays a mean guitar solo ( check out ‘Sultanat’
in Coke Studio this year), looks good onstage and is smart and funny
when off it. One of the most notable things about OBA’s voice
is that it is not a generic voice, so through his singing, OBA has
made himself a strong vocal identity.
Manic
Mane: Iraj
The chameleon of fashion is Iraj and her tresses have always garnered
attention. At the height of her career her sexy curls were worn
long and luxuriantly then to everyone’s surprise she went
for a modern boy-cut inspired by Nabila who encourages models to
go in for looks that radically transform them. But boy oh boy, some
thing just shouldn’t change. These days Iraj wears them flowing
down her back in silky tousled waves. And if there was ever a case
of someone’s hair mirroring their personality, then Iraj has
to be it.
The
Bod (Female): Neha
Muse for Sana Safinaz, Neha Ahmed has one of the sexiest bods in
the biz. Neha isn’t voluptuous, but she is chiseled. Her body
is well-sculpted and fit and she can carry off the most feminine
and demure of clothes to perfection. That is not to say that Neha
cannot carry a saucy ensemble, because her enviable figure ensures
she can wear the more daring outfits and still look gorgeous and
womanly. And it is not just her body that makes her a sexy clotheshorse,
it is the way Neha holds herself that makes her someone we look
at and say "Wow!"

Style: Meesha
It’s no surprise that we at Instep adore Meesha Shafi. She
has the gusto to pull of fashions that have us following her style
as to what she’ll do next. From her bejeweled LBD at FPW 2
to her converse and ripped jeans look; she can nail them all and
stand far from a maddeningly unoriginally dressed crowd. Her pixie
cut in a fiery red is her biggest crowning glory. With her career
going skywards we look forward to seeing more of this shining star.

Makeover:
Naveen Waqar
Naveen Waqar is the second VJ on our list and is another personality
that has viewers glued to their screen to watch her. Always a live
wire, Naveen seems to have visibly worked hard to drop the baby
fat that plagued her. The screen adds ten pounds is not a lie because
Naveen had always been in good shape but the camera was not exactly
her best friend. Taking matters into her own hands she shed the
weight. Now we look forward to her revamping her career as Mahira
is all set to do with Bol.
The
Bod (Male): Iffy
Iffy’s appeal as a model might have to do with the fact that
he is one of a kind. While most male models are aspiring for the
muscle man type of look Iffy has held his own in the sea of pretty
boys. The ‘90s saw the rise of broad guys reign over modeling
internationally and Pakistan hasn’t moved on from it even
now when models are as tall and thin as their female counterparts.
Iffy and ‘defying norms’ is synonymous and his slim
well toned frame have made his print work a cut above the rest.
It’s no surprise that he is the now the face of Ammar Belal
menswear. And while most male models sit fair and lovely at home,
Iffy is out rocking the boat in international waters.

Voice (Female): Zeb Bangash
There is more to appeal than a sleek body or beautiful face. When
a person opens their mouth to speak or in Zeb’s case, sing,
there needs to be that something extra that pulls audiences into
the voice and lose itself in the lilts and nuances of it. Zeb’s
voice just does that. She does not have your typical sureeli, girly
Lata voice. Her voice is deeper without losing any of its feminity
and strong while still lending a certain vulnerability to the tunes
she croons. Zeb’s voice has a hint of quiet surety to it that
makes it so calming to listen to and the way she carries a tune
is so confident that her voice takes on a life of its own. Think
‘Paimona’ - it’s a rare voice that makes us fall
in love with a song in a language we don’t speak!
