do you not like during Ramzan?

do you manage your day while fasting?

Anoushey Ashraf
VJ/ Model
1. My
favorite thing about Ramzan is how I manage a 'set' routine. Work
starts early and finishes on time. We are home by maghrib. That
never happens on a normal day
2. People
tend to get impatient and unruly towards others. Hunger and our
usual Pakistani heat can make a lethal combination and you often
see people arguing, shouting and being moody with each other
3. I
prefer keeping busy so i don't think too much about the growling
in my tummy. I talk softly and make it a point to keep my cool
no matter what. It realllyyyyyyy helps!

4. I
like being home with family for iftar. I can't eat much after staying
hungry all day and open my roza with something light and eat an
early dinner once and for all.

Actress/ Model
1. I
love how everyone has Iftari and Sehri together, it's just been
one of those childhood things that everyone's together and there's
a lot of unity.
2. Bad
moods; the way people start driving. They should be calmer as opposed
to being impatient
3. It
gets really tough, because I work 16 hours a day, so sometimes
when I have a really heavy schedule, I have to skip fasting. Because
this one time, I actually fainted while fasting and working!
4. Home.
Who wants to eat outside yaar? We working people crave home cooked
food because usually we're forced to eat out.

Vocalist, Call
1) Peace
of mind, and pakoras and dahi barray
2) I
don't like sleeping right after food as it doesn't do good to your
stomach, but during Ramzan, I can't help but fall asleep right
after Sehri!
3) It's
a typical day without food and water. I even go to the gym during
fast. I guess I am a bit of a freak!
4) I
try all the good spots during Ramzan, but the Village in Lahore
is the best amongst all of them.

1 - My favourite
thing about the month of Ramadan is that people give to others.
Charity is very important and one must give wholeheartedly especially
with the situation in our country.

2 - The fact that prices of basic food items rises immensely
and the poor man suffers even more...there is no need for the
hoarding, it's a charitable month!
3 - It's tough to work in the heat while fasting but one does one's
best. Productivity does suffer, but that is expected.
4 - I prefer home Iftars, home food is definitely safer and healthier.

1) The
realization of being hungry makes you empathize with people who
live life like this the entire year; the feeling of being closer
to God; control over your temper; Fajr time quietness.
2) The
rule that you are not allowed to eat or drink publicly defeats
the whole purpose of Ramzan as life is supposed to go on as it
is when you're fasting without any special treatment. The special
timings we instill and everyone ignores their work as they want
to go home early.
3) Just
like any other day, no special treatment. When you are fasting
abroad, it's a lot more difficult compared to when you are fasting
in Pakistan or any other Muslim country.
4) It
used to be Barbeque Tonight.
Omar Bilal Akhtar
Lead Vocalist, ADP
1) Less
work hours!
2) I
hate how crabby and irritable everyone gets. It's like, 'chillout
dude, you're not the only one fasting.'
3) I
sleep. Then I wake up and plan my next sleep.
4) My
buddies and I have always had this tradition of going to the Pizza
Hut all-you-can-eat Iftari special where we try to do outdo each
other with who can eat the most slices. But I'm pretty sure one
of us is going to die if we keep doing this.
Farhad Humayun
Drummer, Overload
1) Better
traffic & gobi pakoras
2) People
use it as an excuse for not working. It's like an extended 'juma'
(as in friday)
3) I
usually don't fast everyday because I have ulcer trouble but I
definitely don't play drums because then I get dehydrated. Right
before Iftari I go to the gym, although I end up putting on instead
of losing weight in Ramazan.
4) Never
been out for Iftari - its mad out there!
