What misconceptions do people have about you?

Some people think I’m conceited. That is quite an incorrect opinion about me as I am a very modest person. Humbleness is one of my traits!

What is the worst rumour you have heard about yourself?

I’ve heard plenty of rumours, most of them being nonsensical. The worst rumour I heard was that some people who are not happy to see me successful in a short period of time, started linking me up with the designers I’ve worked with! That was the most pathetic thing I have ever heard.

Any lessons learnt the hard way?

Never trust anyone fully! Through all the experiences I’ve had in my life up till now, that is one thing I’ve learnt. We come across numerous people in our lives and believe them to be trustworthy when they’re actually two-faced. I only have faith in God because He is the one who answers all my prayers.

What’s the weirdest thing a fan has ever said to you?

Oh, there are tons of things I get to hear from them. It’s a blessing to be surrounded by people who love and support you all the time. One of the weirdest things a fan said to me was that she wanted to stare at me while I slept! That sounds freaky but I found it cute. Anyhow, my fans are lovely and I appreciate their kindness for loving me for what I am.

Tell us something no one knows about you?

People just know me as a model. What they don’t know is that I’m also a professional cricketer and I’m highly passionate about it!

What drives you: money, fame or success?

I am a self-made man and my hard work is what keeps me motivated. When you’re successful, you become famous. When you’re famous, money starts pouring in automatically!

What do you fail to understand about the opposite sex?

I have immense respect for women. The only thing that I don’t understand about them is that why do they have to be so fake? Some people I’ve come across are just desperate to gain attention and they would literally do anything for it. It’s actually a shame to be associated to them.

What is the most important relationship advice you can give?

Trust and loyalty. These two aspects are very important in a relationship. Having respect for the other person and a good understanding between them is what makes a bond strong. Sometimes, apologizing even when you’re not wrong, is a kind gesture. People should learn to forgive and move on because life is all about endurance!

When was the last time you kicked ass?

Recently! At the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2011, that was held in Karachi. I showcased these amazing outfits from quite a lot of well-known designers and brands and got a great response. I had a phenomenal time and there’s so much more to come. Perhaps some surprises for you all.

What do you consider your best physical asset?

Since I’m also a sportsman, I have to maintain my physique by working out regularly. My athletic built is my best physical asset. And I have heard that people are quite fond of my abs, so that’s another specific feature I like about myself.

How do you unwind?

I don’t get much time to relax if I have been caught up with my work. I feel the best way for me to unwind is spending time with my family because I love my parents and siblings unconditionally, and they are the best part of my life.

Have you ever done anything you shouldn’t have?

Actually there isn’t anything that I shouldn’t have done in particular. I took every step in life cautiously and always considered opinions of others. I believe it’s very important to live a pious life so I have kept myself away from getting involved in any sort of immoral acts that aren’t supposed to be done.

Have you ever envied another person?

Yes I have but only in a positive way. Envying someone doesn’t necessarily have to mean that you’re jealous of the other person. You just put in effort to become better than him. I never look down upon anyone, it’s just not right. God has showered His blessings upon me and I’m thankful for everything I have.

Define your sense of style.

I love simplicity, not only because of the beauty of it, but it shows the real personality within you. People generally categorize my style as ‘raw’ and ‘edgy’. I feel I am simple but in a unique way. Every person’s style is unique! My style is unique in a different way because I believe it’s important to be an inspiration to the people around you especially for the youth. It doesn’t always have to be a matter of your clothes or your looks, what matters most is your attitude and of course, how you carry yourself. Style is one thing that a person should be possessive about because you own it.

What is the price of success?

The price of success is only worthwhile when a person makes his own path due to his good deeds and hard-work so that others follow it. If someone is able to do that in today’s world, then that extent of success is priceless.
