Mahira and Naveen are a class apart from all other veejays in Pakistan.
Now out with a new show – Fireworks – that features both
of them, it is simply put, fantastic.
The show is unlike most VJ–oriented shows on television. These
two girls tackle everything from the importance of a film like Khuda
Kay Liye to musicians who often talk too much, it is honest, it is
their first-hand account and ultimately caters to an entire generation
that looks at these two girls as icons.
In a small span of time, Naveen and Mahira have carved their identities.
If Naveen is the eclectic one, Mahira is the charming one and together,
they really are an unbeatable combination.
It is delightful to see two veejays on tv who are intelligent enough
to pick up stories, ideas and beats that are hugely significant to
the potpourri of pop culture. And hey, these two have a fantastic
sense of humour too. So this week, Mahira and Naveen are Instep's
hotsteppers of the week. |
