The stars have come out once again in the most prestigious of award
ceremonies: The 82nd Academy Awards. The title, admiration and mostly
envy are what one is entitled to when receiving the golden statuette.
This year the Oscar got a tribute all its own when starlets walked
the scarlet carpet in gold. While some chose structure, others chose
rich embellishment; regardless, all that wore the metallic color
were the highlight of the evening. It takes a lot to stand out in
the crowd at the Oscars but Sandra Bullock pulls it off without
a hitch. This was the absolute best time for her to look better
than she has before since she walked away with little Oscar in hand
at the end of the evening. Bullock's Marchesa gown looks like it
was stitched on to her body. The elegant embroidery on the bodice
flows into a river of gold at her feet. This is the type of heavy
metal we could really take a note from.
